Meet The Staff

Meet the Gotta Flip Staff! 



Lavon is the owner and founder of Gotta Flip Gymnastics. She was a former competitive gymnast and cheerleader. Lavon attended The Ohio State University where she majored in Physical Education and Recreation. Although she spends the majority of her time behind the desk at Gotta Flip, you sometimes see her filling in for instructors. She has coached numerous state and national champions in Gymnastics, Trampoline and Tumbling and Cheerleading. She is currently the head cheerleading coach for Westland High School, as well as the head gymnastics coach at Westland, Central Crossing and Franklin Heights high schools. 


Brittany is the daughter of Lavon and co-owner of Gotta Flip Gymnastics. Brittany has several state and national titles in Trampoline and Tumbling as well as cheerleading; including 3 World Cheerleading Titles with Team USA cheer. Brittany was a member of the United States Trampoline and Tumbling (USTA) and the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) National Trampoline and Tumbling Teams, a 4-time state qualifier in high school gymnastics and a member of The Ohio State University Cheerleading Squad for 5 years. She graduated from OSU with a master's degree in Early Childhood Education and is currently a first grade teacher at Darby Woods Elementary and the head cheerleading coach at Central Crossing High School and the assistant gymnastics coach for Central Crossing, Westland and Franklin Heights high schools. While at Ohio State, Brittany also had the opportunity to compete with Team USA Coed Cheer at the International Cheerleading Union (ICU) Cheerleading World Championships and win three World Cheerleading Titles. Besides coaching, you may see Brittany judging Trampoline and Tumbling and cheerleading competitions as well as working for the United States All Star Federation as a credentialing instructor. 


Mindy was one of Gotta Flip's original athletes competing on our trampoline and tumbling team while in high school. Mindy has also won several titles including AAU Junior Olympic Gold Medalist in double-mini trampoline. She was a former high school and college cheerleader. Mindy taught recreational classes at Gotta Flip while attending college at Capital University. She has a bachelor's degree in athletic training and early childhood education. She was the head athletic trainer at Olentangy Liberty High School for 2005-2007 and is currently a kindergarten teacher at Liberty Tree Elementary School where she was named "Teacher of the Year!" 


Haley is a 2016 graduate of Central Crossing High School, where she is a member of the cheerleading and gymnastics teams. Haley is a former GFT all-star cheerleader and trampoline and tumbling team member. Haley also works as a life guard in the summer. Haley is currently attending Columbus State Community College taking general education courses to eventually pursue a degree in Early Childhood Education. 


Junior Coaching Staff

Hailey Hacker and Katlyn Wooten

Hailey and Katlyn are both high school students and part of our Junior Instructor Program. You will see them occasionally helping out with classes as well as working on their own skills as they are members of their high school cheerleading and gymnastics teams. Katlyn is also a member of our Senior Competition Cheerleading Team and Hailey is a member of our Senior Competition Cheerleading Team and Competition Trampoline and Tumbling Team as well as a member of the AAU National Trampoline and Tumbling team and the Ohio All State Trampoline and Tumbling team.
